The Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (ANOCA) has officially extended its warm congratulations to the President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), Engr. Habu Ahmed Gumel, following Team Nigeria’s outstanding showcase at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games held from July 23 to August 2, 2026.
In an official message signed by ANOCA President, IOC Member, and ANOC Vice-President, Honourable Mustapha Berraf, the continental body praised the leadership of the NOC, coaches, and athletes for displaying national sporting excellence and vibrancy on the global stage.
Team Nigeria concluded its Glasgow 2026 campaign with a total of 24 medals, comprising 10 Gold, 7 Silver, and 7 Bronze medals.
