The CAVB Order of Merit is the highest and most prestigious honor awarded by the African Volleyball Confederation (Confédération Africaine de Volleyball).

It acts as the ultimate recognition of honor and achievement given by African volleyball’s governing body.
It is rarely given out and is reserved for exceptional individuals such as long-serving sports federation presidents, global sports leaders, and veteran administrators who have dedicated decades of their lives to uplifting, funding, organizing, and transforming volleyball across the African continent.
Recipients are often credited with massive milestones in the sport, such as helping African nations qualify more regularly for global stages (Olympics and World Championships), improving infrastructure, or bridging international partnerships. global figures and prominent continental leaders have been recipients of this distinction.

The award is typically handed out during high-profile official gatherings, such as the CAVB General Congress, in front of delegates from national volleyball federations all over Africa.
