Dakar 2026 Flame Tour
The Nigeria Olympic Committee proudly joins the Olympic Movement in celebrating the historic arrival of the Olympic Flame in Dakar on 12 September 2026.
Africa celebrates a landmark moment as the Youth Olympic Flame reaches the continent for the first time. We welcome it with open arms and share its inspiring spirit with the world. The Olympafrica Centre in Lagos hosted a special celebration to mark the occasion.
The programme included insightful lectures on Olympic values delivered by facilitators to participants, fun kits, sports activities followed by a symbolic run.Participants, volunteers, and facilitators moved around the centre carrying the Flame, embodying the spirit of unity and energy.
The Olympafrica Centre Director, Mr. Abba Ado, led the event coordination expertly.
Africa is ready. Dakar is calling. Let’s run for Africa!
