Nigeria to çompete in 10 Sports at Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games
Lagos, Nigeria – July 8, 2026 – The Nigeria Commonwealth Association has officially announced that Team Nigeria will participate in 10 sporting events at the upcoming Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.
The multi-sport showpiece is scheduled to take place from July 23 to August 2, 2026, in Glasgow, Scotland.
The Games will be bringing together elite athletes from across the 71 Commonwealth nations and territories.
Nigeria’s campaign at the 2026 Games will span both conventional and para-sports.
The 10 approved sports featuring Team Nigeria athletes include:

Wheelchair Basketball
Boxing

Para Cycling
Para Powerlifting
