Pre-Games Visit Ahead of LA 2028 Olympic Games
The President of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), Engr. Habu Ahmed Gumel, alongside the Director General of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Hon. Bukola Olopade, Secretary General of the NOC, Hon. Babatunde Popoola, Vice President of the NOC, Chief, Solomon Ogba and the NOC Senior Manager for Policy and Games, Mr. Emmanuel Nweri, held a pre-Games meeting ahead of the LA 2028 Olympic Games.
The meeting reaffirmed a shared ambition: Nigeria must go to LA 2028 not just to participate, but to compete with distinction, make Nigeria proud, and make history.
The NOC and NSC are collaborating and remain committed to building a coordinated pathway that puts athlete performance at the centre of preparations.
Los Angeles will host the Olympic Games from July 14 to 30, 2028, and preparations for the world’s biggest sporting event have already begun.
